Auburn Hills is in Oakland County. According to the 2010 Census, the population is 21,412. The city originated in 1983 when Pontiac Township merged with the Village of Auburn Heights. The name comes from Aaron Webster, the first settler from Auburn, New York. Throughout the years, Auburn Hills fought back and forth Pontiac to keep its property and not merge together with them. During the 1880s, It lost its own prosperity and was renamed at one point to ‘Amy’.

Legoland is a great place to bring the family especially if you have little kids. They have a 4-D movie theater, the opportunity to meet some of the LEGO characters, and even find some amazing LEGO sets to build. The aquarium that is also in Great Lakes Crossing is called SEALife. It is Michigan’s largest aquarium with hundreds of different types of marine life. They have a bunch of activities for the kids and things for the rest of the family.

They have an arcade, bowling, ping pong, and even darts. With the variety of fun things they have to offer, it’s great for the whole family or even a date night. Another fun place in Auburn Hills is MI-Combat. It is a high-intensity tactical laser tag arena. They offer live feedback, realistic sets, and the real feel of being on a battlefield. One popular place to eat in Auburn Hills would be Rainforest Cafe. It is located in Great Lakes Crossing and was made to look like a fun rainforest. With its gift shop and fun decor, it is a great place to bring the kids or even have a party there. If you and your spouse are looking for a great place to eat, Miyako Japanese Steakhouse is a great place to go. It is a family owned and operated restaurant. All of their ingredients come from the local farmers market so they are nice and fresh to use. They have trained sushi chefs to make their sushi even better.
